We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Meridian Marine Industries Inc. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces
- Estimate costs and materials for painting projects
- Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, and roller painting
- Perform drywall taping and patching, steam cleaning, and sandblasting as needed
- 1-2 years of experience in painting or a related field
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with odours
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player
- Work outdoors, underground, at heights, and in confined spaces
- Exposure to odours and physically demanding work
- Parking available
- Permanent employment
