About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Welder to join our Surface Fixed Plant Maintenance Team in Voisey's Bay, Labrador. This is a permanent on-site position, working a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive checks on equipment, including grinding mills, crushers, pumps, conveyors, and other fixed plant equipment, to ensure proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure proper performance and meet manufacturer's specifications and operational needs.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components of equipment systems.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure work meets safety standards.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the supervisor and planner.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Welding.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Welding is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Journeyperson experience.
  • Knowledge of the repair and maintenance of fixed equipment.
  • Previous mining and/or heavy industrial experience.
