Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
- Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage
- Supervise 1 to 2 people, providing guidance and support to ensure team success
- Provide physical accessibility accommodations and awareness training to employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, providing support and resources for successful integration
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, promoting diversity and inclusion
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
- Support youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect
- Work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract and English as the primary language of communication
