Job Title: Child Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Caregiver to join our team at Sacha T Charles. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in child care and youth work, with experience in providing emotional support, guidance, and education to children. You will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Assist children with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Encourage children to participate in recreational activities and hobbies
  • Monitor and report any changes in a child's behavior or physical condition
  • Collaborate with other caregivers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in child care or youth work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
