Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless bond.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms to facilitate project progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling to navigate tight spaces and work at heights.
  • Handling heavy loads to move materials and equipment.
