About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at G Star Homes Inc. in [Location]. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and smoothing out excess compound. They will also estimate costs and materials, read and interpret blueprints, and work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets and tape joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets securely to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Drywall installation experience (1 year to less than 2 years)
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Commercial and residential drywall installation experience
  • Ability to work at heights and navigate scaffolding or swing stages
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be working in a busy construction site environment with tight deadlines.
