Financial Analyst I

The University Health Network, a leading research teaching hospital, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst I to join its team. As a key support to the Principal Investigators and Clinical Research Manager, you will play a critical role in the analysis, reporting, and reconciliation of financial activities related to clinical trials and grants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of accounting activities, applying accounting concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Support the analysis, reporting, and reconciliation of financial activities related to clinical trials and grants.
  • Work closely with individuals from other areas to achieve objectives, utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to Principal Investigators and Clinical Research Manager.
Requirements:
  • Accounting background with strong technical skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
