Job Title: Drywall Taper

NBS STEEL FRAMING & DRYWALL LTD. is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Drywall Taper to work on various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound, sanding seams and joints, and installing drywall sheets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply them to walls and ceilings
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall finishing and installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and physical demands. A valid work permit and ability to work in a team are essential.
