About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Systems Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing design solutions and assessments for new, updated, and modified process systems, structures, and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Prepare and review design documents for nuclear power plants
  • Perform walkdowns, attend site visits, and meetings as required
  • Ensure applicable code, standards, and regulatory requirements are met
  • Provide support for the preparation of engineering proposals
  • Ensure adherence to company quality program
  • Ensure adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule
  • Support engineering management with timely updates on engineering progress
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders as required

Requirements

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, or engineering science
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets
  • Experience performing heat balance and thermal-hydraulic evaluations
  • Experience in process system design and layout
  • Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design
  • Working knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III
  • Working knowledge of CSA B51 standard, ASME B31.1 codes, and other nuclear-power-plant applicable standards or regulatory guides
  • Excellent technical and practical skills to resolve engineering issues or technical problems
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
