The Government of Nunavut is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitation Services team in the Department of Health. As a licensed healthcare professional, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering Speech Language Pathology services to all populations in the Qikiqtaaluk Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and deliver Speech Language Pathology services to individuals of all ages with speech, language, fluency, pragmatic, voice, and/or swallowing disorders or delays.
  • Make decisions regarding all aspects of client care and provide clinical supervision to Community Therapy Assistants.
  • Develop and deliver skills training to families, communities, home-care workers, community members, organizations, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • A recognized Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Certification and membership in the Speech-Language Audiology Canada (SAC) and registration with a provincial licensing body.
  • One (1) year of clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages (Inuktitut, English, and French).
  • Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land, and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $105,342 - $119,511 per year, 37.5 hour/week.
  • Northern Allowance: $16,008 per year.
