Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Join the Government of Nunavut as a Speech Language Pathologist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to the people of Nunavut.

About the Role

The Speech Language Pathologist is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for planning, developing, organizing, delivering, and evaluating Speech Language Pathology Services to all populations in the Qikiqtaaluk Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with individuals of all ages who have speech, language, fluency, pragmatic, voice, and/or swallowing disorders or delays.
  • Make decisions regarding all aspects of client care and provide clinical supervision to Community Therapy Assistants.
  • Develop and deliver skills training to families, communities, home-care workers, community members, organizations, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognized Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent, Certification and membership in the Speech-Language Audiology Canada (SAC), and registration with a provincial licensing body. One year of clinical experience is also required.
