Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Day Camp Counsellor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a fun, safe, and healthy environment for children registered in YMCA Calgary Day Camps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive supervision and facilitate daily activities
  • Work alongside and collaborate with other Day Camp staff
  • Plan and implement all aspects of the daily schedule within the provided curriculum
  • Enter the pool daily and engage in pool activities with campers
  • Provide first aid when required
  • Greet parents/guardians and campers on arrival and departure from camp
Requirements
  • Aged 16 or older
  • Interest in working with children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous Day Camp or related experience preferred
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certified within 12 months
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within 12 months
  • Three professional references
