The Role of Health and Safety Advisor
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Toronto. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to our clients on health and safety matters, including policy development, risk assessment, and compliance with Canadian health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety advice and support to clients on a range of topics, including policy development, risk assessment, and compliance with Canadian health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs for clients, including auditing, evaluating process risks, and safe work procedures.
- Conduct research on best practices and legislation to stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety trends and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on health and safety matters, including workshops and one-on-one coaching.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement health and safety initiatives and programs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in health and safety.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, business, or a related field.
- Professional certification in occupational health and safety, such as CRSP or CRST.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a consulting or advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian health and safety regulations and legislation.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
