About the Role
Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medicine Program at the Cortellucci Vaughan Site. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, quality, and safe care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
- Contribute to safe, quality care by managing a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, addressing and resolving issues in a productive and respectful manner, and exercising sound professional judgment and using best practice guidelines.
- Comply with patient and staff safety policies and procedures to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Member of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
