At Lifemark Seniors Wellness, we are seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care to seniors. The successful candidate will assist supervising Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the treatment of residents, perform various treatments as prescribed, and maintain a safe and tidy treatment area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance to supervising Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists
  • Assisting in the performance of various components of the resident's treatment plan
  • Performing treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist
  • Conducting exercise classes
  • Maintaining equipment and cleaning up after resident's treatments
  • Ensuring the gym and treatment area are safe and tidy
  • Maintaining regular communication with the PT/OT regarding resident's status or treatment interventions
  • Completing Daily Treatment Records as directed

Requirements include:

  • Rehabilitation Assistant/Exercise Therapist/Physical Education academic background
  • Previous experience working in a Seniors' care setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable and independent
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check
