Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, and road test motor vehicles.
  • Estimation and Reporting: Estimate parts and labor cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Customer Communication: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field is necessary.
  • Skills: Hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, accurate, dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Permanent Employment: This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 35 hours per week.
  • Languages: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
