Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and maintain attention to detail.
