About the Workplace
This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid working arrangements that can be primarily fulfilled from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.

  • Reporting and Analysis - Building a business partner relationship with senior leaders to provide financial reporting and analysis for informed decision making.
  • Financial Modeling - Establishing and monitoring key revenue and expense drivers, providing forecasting, planning, and analytical support through the aggregate financial plan.
  • Relationship Building - Acting as a concierge to broker other services from the Finance division to senior leaders through identification of needs and opportunities.
  • Financial Risk Management - Integrating risk management processes to ensure the ongoing identification, monitoring, and assessment of risks to achieve Vancity's long and short-term financial goals.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a senior consultant level or higher, would be an asset.
  • Business acumen in the context of the financial industry, would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create clear understanding of expectations, address challenges and issues for the business unit.
  • Knowledge of related finance concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Planning and coordination skills to develop operating plans, processes, methods, and standards for a unit.
  • Research and analytical skills to assess and recommend course of action on trends, and to identify risks and opportunities that may impact the unit.
