At Sun Life Financial, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Account Opening and Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Retail Wealth Management Operations, Account Opening and Maintenance program for Sun Life Canada Securities Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to new and existing staff members on account opening and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with the Canadian SLCSI Operations Team to ensure seamless execution of account opening and maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Investment Advisors and Portfolio Managers.
Requirements:
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues and internal partners.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the securities industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Branch Manager or Compliance Officer with a CIRO firm focused on account opening and account maintenance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of investment products and financial markets.
- Passion for client servicing and building strong relationships.
