Job Title: Financial Control Officer

Fleetex Transport Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for planning, setting up, and administering accounting systems, supervising staff, and providing financial, business, and tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their financial responsibilities.
  • Train staff on financial procedures and systems to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Arrange training for staff to enhance their financial knowledge and skills.
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, including financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records and analyze financial documents and reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Examine accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial, business, and tax advice to management and staff to ensure informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a financial control or accounting role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
