About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Symposium Cafe Restaurant & Lounge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and high-quality customer service.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Lead and motivate a team of food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery and adherence to company standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

Inventory Management and Control

Estimate and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.

Quality Control and Assurance

Monitor and maintain high-quality food and service standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.

Work Schedule Management

Develop and implement effective work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
