Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Apprentice Technician to join our team at OpenRoad Auto Group. As an Apprentice Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of OEM brands and gain hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Maintain documentation of work performed.
- Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of automotive equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Highly self-motivated and organized individual.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- A valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
