About Our Job Opportunity
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Category Manager for Supplements to join our team at NOW Health Group Canada/Puresource Natural Products Distributor.
This role offers a unique chance to work with a leading provider of natural and organic products in Canada, with a focus on developing and executing marketing initiatives to drive sales objectives.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in category management, with a deep understanding of the supplement category, shopper insight, competitive landscape, and retailer dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the supplement category, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity
- Lead and generate monthly category reviews, new product dashboards, competitive insights, and report findings and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support sales team by providing strategic selling stories to support key categories and segments
- Assist with the development and coordination of new item launch and training materials in collaboration with the Nutrition and Health Education Manager
- Work closely with supply chain and sales team to manage SKU rationalization and aging inventory
- Develop, lead, execute, and measure national retail promotional programs
- Prioritize customer support by managing strategic sales requests to support booking sheets, digital asks, planograms, etc.
- In-store retailer support for strategic customers – in-store displays, endcaps, digital ecommerce support, etc.
- Support Marketing team in core B2B activities including retailer communications, catalogue deals, promotions, etc.
- Assist in the annual business planning process, supporting marketing and sales planning activities including category insight data, competitive insights, etc.
- Analyze and recommend wholesale price changes for private brand products to ensure market competitiveness and support profitability targets
- Attend key trade shows
- Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business or related field from an accredited institution, experience in the nutritional field is an asset, MS Office applications – exceptional use of Excel and PPT, ability to travel to other facilities and work off hours and weekends as needed, valid passport as travel outside of Canada will be required occasionally, demonstrated project management skills and problem solving necessary to pre-empt and deal with rapidly changing market conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business or related field from an accredited institution
- Experience in the nutritional field is an asset
