As a key member of the Finance and Property Administration teams, the Banking Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information and providing responsive and accurate service to the teams we support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Process assigned account transfers and wire payments on various online banking platforms
  • Set up, update, or cancel tenant EFTs/PADs and vendor PADs from the Property Administration team
  • Action positive pay exceptions for CIBC and RBC accounts as required
  • Complete assigned ad-hoc tasks received in the Shared Team Outlook account
  • Prepare bank deposits as required
  • Update daily tenant EFT and vendor PAD listings
  • Prepare journal entries when required
  • Communicate and follow up with Finance and Property Administration teams on unposted transactions on the bank reconciliation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months post-secondary education
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Previous experience completing bank reconciliations
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems such as YARDI Voyager is considered an asset
  • Relationship skills: ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with internal departments; team player
  • Organizational/multi-tasking skills: ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities; ability to prioritize workload; ability to work at a detailed level and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment that includes new ideas and change
  • Decision-making skills: ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems; ability to take decisive action within authorized limits
