Operations Manager - Sushi and Sake Restaurant

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Kawakubo Sushi Sake Organic. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and optimize our budget to maintain and boost profits
  • Develop and implement budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, and supplies
  • Evaluate and improve daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor revenues and labor costs to make informed decisions
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet our high standards
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals for our restaurant
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and childcare
  • Support social and labor market integration through access to community resources, language training, and skills training
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities and organizations
  • Provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment
