Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ABA Intervention Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As an ABA Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for providing short-term services and support to families and children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Training: Offer coaching, teaching, and training on ABA and Autism Spectrum Disorders to families, caregivers, and community partners.
  • Assessment and Data Collection: Conduct assessments and assist with data collection to inform service delivery.
  • Discharge Reports: Complete discharge reports to document service outcomes.
  • Program Implementation: Implement various skill-building curriculum and program plans, such as Triple P, Children's Friendship Training, and PEERS.
  • Service Coordination: Assist with service coordination and provide guidance on accessing other community services.
  • Community Linkage: Act as a link between families, caregivers, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Education and Training: Provide educational opportunities for families and community partners to enhance their understanding of ABA and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate case notes and time records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks, including documentation, waitlist management, and resource development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and meet job demands.

Required Skills:

  • University Degree in Psychology or related field, or a College Diploma with a Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences. Master of Applied Disabilities Studies is a must.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience offering ABA support to individuals with Autism.
  • Direct experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Training in Triple P, Children's Friendship Training, and PEERS is advantageous.
  • Preference for applicants with a valid BCBA certification and experience in parent education programs.
  • Possession of a valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with proper insurance coverage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • French fluency is a bonus.
