Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at Fastway Construction. As a key member of our site crew, you will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and care.
  • Clean and maintain cranes, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Collaborate with medical examiners to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following established protocols.
  • Contribute to framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Clean and organize salvaged materials, maintaining a tidy work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
  • Respond to chemical spills and other contaminants, prioritizing safety and environmental protection.
  • Operate and maintain machines and equipment used in construction, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
Work Environment

As a Construction Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often at heights, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train on the job.
