Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Kaonke Trucking. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pre-Trip, En-Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle is running efficiently.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all parties are informed of any issues or concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly securing it and preventing any damage during transport.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trip reports.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Possess a valid driver's license and be familiar with transportation regulations.
