We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Resource Advisor/Junior Employment Consultant to join our team at WCG International Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to clients in achieving sustainable employment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with initial eligibility determination, identity verification, and sign-in processes
- Remind clients of appointments via phone calls
- Conduct Client Needs Assessments to develop individualized action plans
- Collaborate with clients to update and revise action plans
- Manage client case files in the primary information system (ICM)
- Monitor client progress, verify engagement, and ensure documentation requirements are met
- Collaborate with other organizations to coordinate client services and financial supports
- Provide services in a welcoming, safe, and professional environment, ensuring client privacy is protected
- Stay up-to-date on employment programs and funding sources
- Participate in community and employer events
- Research and identify employers and sector opportunities for clients
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, coaching, and working with individuals with complex barriers
- Successful track record helping clients overcome barriers to meet goals and targets
- Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources, government programs, job search techniques, and career development
- Solid understanding of confidentiality and professional codes of conduct
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management) preferred
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work Monday to Friday in Centre and flexibility to work in different locations
- Competitive salary of $52,333 per year
