Electrical Contract Administrator Role

We're seeking an Electrical Contract Administrator to join our team in Markham, ON. As a key member of our Electrical team, you'll be responsible for contract administration deliverables, ensuring prompt delivery and meeting project specifications and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contract design packages for errors and omissions
  • Maintain a detailed log of contractor's work, contract progress, and inspection milestones
  • Ensure sufficient data is obtained through the life of the contract to substantiate
  • Review contractor's installations on site to ensure compliance with plans, standards, and specifications
  • Prepare job reports for clients outlining work completed
  • Complete job reports, including requests for information, contemplated revisions, change orders, field and pricing reviews
  • Oversee Change Requests and Claims
  • Manage responses to Contractor's RFI's and clarification requests
  • Review construction site installation progress to ensure compliance with local building codes
  • Effectively manage contract administration for multiple projects
  • Respond to field issues and questions relating to electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • Liaise with architects, contractors, owners, specialty consultants, project managers, and job captains

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology/Technician
  • 5 or more years of experience in inspection and supervision of electrical building services construction
  • Sound knowledge of building codes, provincial health and safety act, design standards, construction administration, and task manual
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize required computer software, including Microsoft Office
  • Reviewing drawings in REVIT and AutoCAD
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to work in complex environments driven by project deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle required
