Job Title: Executive Culinary Director
Job Summary:
Asteras Greek Taverna is seeking an experienced Executive Culinary Director to lead our culinary team. This is a permanent position requiring 2 years of experience, 40 hours/week, English language, and secondary school education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate food cost records
- Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment
- Supervise specialist chefs and cooks
- Create innovative recipes
- Instruct cooks in food preparation and presentation
- Prepare meals for banquets and special events
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Plan menus and ensure quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with dietary requirements
- Recruit and train staff in food preparation and handling
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Physically demanding with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
