Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Nova Montessori Preschool.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create individualized learning plans.
  • Assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and development.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Communicate with parents and keep records of children's progress.
  • Lead activities that promote creativity, socialization, and learning.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for meals and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to supervisors.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
  • Ability to work with children with special needs, including allergies, asthma, and diabetes.
  • Reliable transportation and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
