Palliative Care Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Nurse Consultant to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Hospice Palliative Care Consultation Team, you will play a vital role in supporting and mentoring primary care providers in various care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Establish regular contact with key palliative care stakeholders to build relationships and provide expert guidance.
- Develop and implement education and resources to enhance capacity across the continuum of care.
- Provide consults on complex pain, symptom, and psychosocial issues for patients registered with our HPC Program.
- Lead the development of policies, procedures, and education needs related to our HPC Program.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Minimum two years of full-time experience in palliative care nursing with a focus on pain and symptom management.
- Certificate of specialized training in palliative care or post-basic palliative care nursing courses.
- Two years of demonstrated teaching experience for a range of healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Vehicle and valid driver's license required.
