Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide support to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role will involve assisting with various EHS initiatives, including industrial hygiene monitoring, noise dosimetry studies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support Industrial Hygiene Program
  • Assist with site industrial hygiene monitoring
  • Conduct sound level monitoring and noise dosimetry studies
  • Support the management of IH equipment and calibrations

Additional Responsibilities

  • EHS Administration
    • Safety Data Sheet management
    • New Substance Notification Regulation (NSNR) tracking

Requirements

Education

Pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental, health and safety.

Experience

Novice to 3 years

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency with the English Language. Able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Previous experience conducting presentations/training.

Standards and Expectations

Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives. Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.

Physical Requirements

Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration.
