Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $36.69/Hr. - CAD $45.81/Hr.

Job Description

As a Clinical Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be responsible for performing routine technological duties, maintaining standards, quality control, and ensuring the accurate scheduling of patients in both the x-ray and lab departments. You will also maintain and work within the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including instrumentation and medical imaging devices
  • Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures, including radiological and laboratory exams
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduated from a recognized Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist/Technician Program
  • Experience or program/curriculum-based instruction in transfusion medicine
  • Eligibility for membership with the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science, the Canadian Society of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists, and/or other recognized and related professional organizations
