About the Role:

Global Excel Management Inc is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for assessing and managing medical emergencies while traveling. You will work closely with health care providers worldwide to obtain clinical information and facilitate access to appropriate health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with health care providers to obtain clinical information
  2. Assess the appropriateness of proposed medical treatment
  3. Coordinate medical patient transfer
  4. Identify the acuity and anticipated medical management of a clinical presentation
  5. Analyze clinical information and communicate the impact on eligibility for coverage
  6. Educate health care providers on the role of travel insurance and medical benefits
  7. Review, summarize and analyze client medical records
  8. Use case management software to document all call details and actions taken
  9. Provide professional mentorship to the Case Management Team

Requirements:

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Nursing or equivalency medical training
  • Current license in good standing with the respective provincial nursing governing body
  • At least two years of clinical experience in a hospital
  • Experience in ICU/ER an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle fluctuating work volumes in a fast paced, customer focused environment
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Able to prioritize work responsibilities to achieve best possible outcomes
