Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a skilled and compassionate pharmacist to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta. As a member of our dynamic pharmacy team, you will have the opportunity to work in a clinic environment, providing patient care and support with dispensary and pharmacy workflow activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to prescribe new medications or extend existing medications
- Provide travel health consultations and chronic disease management via medication reviews
- Administer medications by injection and perform point of care screening/swabs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to establish circles of care for patients
- Counsel patients on prescription medication use and provide dispensary and pharmacy workflow support
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Alberta Pharmacist License
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) certification or currently pursuing certification
- Injection Certification required
- Minimum level C First Aid certification
