About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our Operations Team in Ontario. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with our Support Team to ensure that our retail franchise bakeries are operating to the highest standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with franchise operators to analyze opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to drive business growth and profitability
  • Lead, coach, and advise a group of franchise operators to ensure they are meeting their business goals and objectives
  • Assist with the opening of new bakeries and ensure a smooth transition for the franchise operator
  • Drive operational excellence across a large number of retail franchise locations to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the successful implementation of COBS Bread's marketing, product, and systems initiatives and improvements
Requirements
  • A high-energy, positive attitude with the ability to quickly develop trust and meaningful relationships with franchise operators and other stakeholders
  • 2+ years' experience in a franchise retail environment or multi-site retail management experience
  • 5+ years' managerial experience, ideally in the food service, hospitality, or franchise industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate strategic concepts into actionable plans
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently and spend time in the field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others and drive change
  • Ability to work autonomously, take calculated risks, and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Degree in Business Management or a related field
