About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our Amazon team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies to drive productivity and quality across all shifts
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to address challenges and implement corrective actions
  3. Support and lead a team, handling administrative work and building a strong team culture
  4. Analyse performance data and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service
  5. Work closely with other managers to standardise shift processes

A Day in the Life

You will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You will also monitor and maintain process efficiency, prioritising routine team management and daily operational tasks.

As a key part of the operations team, you will work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to ensure we meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analysing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.

About the Team

Amazon's Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a central role in our success. As part of ATS, you will be welcomed into a diverse team that uses air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, to help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree (or working towards a bachelor's degree)
  2. Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language
  3. Relevant experience in performing data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  2. Experience in a logistical working environment
  3. Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
