Job Summary

NGE Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth finish on walls and ceilings. You will also be required to clean and prepare surfaces, cure freshly plastered surfaces, and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish on walls and ceilings
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Work Environment

The work environment will be dusty and noisy, with frequent exposure to construction sites and heavy equipment. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
