Job Title: Drywall Finisher

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Finisher to join our team at NGE Solutions Inc. The successful applicant will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, as well as preparing surfaces, curing freshly plastered surfaces, and installing drywall sheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and flexibility
