Executive Director

The Canadian CED Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in its mission to strengthen local economies across Canada. As the new Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our strategic plan, including setting short- and long-term objectives and priorities to ensure our continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a revenue strategy to ensure short- and long-term financial sustainability
- Work closely with the leadership team and Board to reframe our revenue strategy and reduce the deficit
- Oversee the development and implementation of a fundraising and unrestricted revenue strategy
- Manage approved budgets and provide regular reports on financial performance to the Board of Directors
- Ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and all other statutory and regulatory requirements
- Act as the Privacy Officer and oversee the management of our obligations under our Personal Information Protection Policy
- Work with the leadership team to develop People Operations policies, procedures, and plans that foster a positive, collaborative, and welcoming work environment
- Demonstrated success in securing revenue generation through social enterprise models, grants, sponsorships, or individual donations
- Experience in working with communities and advocating for sustainable and equitable local economies
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess challenges, develop solutions, and assess and mitigate risk
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English)
- Ability to hold work-related conversations in French and/or a willingness to learn conversational French
- Prior experience working with a membership-based organization is an asset
- The legal authority to work in Canada
- Ability to work in the evenings and weekends when required
We offer a competitive salary range of $118,000-$135,000 + extended health benefits. We are a remote/hybrid organization with 4 physical locations where the Executive Director can work from.
