Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Educational Assistant to join our team at CIS Ontario. The successful candidate will provide support to students in our Junior School, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and behavior reinforcement strategies.
  • Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess periods.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, promoting academic success and social growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering a sense of community among students, teachers, and staff.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary qualifications in Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and uphold school policies and procedures.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
