Key Responsibilities- Shipping and Receiving: Determine the most efficient method of shipment, schedule distribution of goods, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, and record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Warehouse Operations: Unpack goods received, affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Communication: Read and interpret specifications, follow verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
- Administrative Tasks: Process bills of lading, cargo manifests, and other documents, maintain accurate records, and perform administrative and clerical activities.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Database software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Windows, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Scheduling packages, Google Docs.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player.
