About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IS Application Specialist to join our IT team at the Pacific National Exhibition. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and subject matter expertise on business applications, troubleshooting user-oriented issues, and implementing improved business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain current ERP system, resolving technical issues and providing data import/export support
  • Responsible for data extraction and reporting, working with business teams to meet their needs
  • Set up and deploy Point of Sales (POS) systems, including menus, prices, and user administration
  • Investigate and resolve user-identified application issues, working with outside vendors as needed
  • Perform user administration tasks for various systems, including Macola, DocuSign, and Volante
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff, answering help desk inquiries and managing the implementation of new applications
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base for various processes, applications, and setup
Requirements
  • Completed a Computer Science/IT degree or diploma program
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
  • 3-5 years' experience supporting business applications and databases
  • Experience with Power Apps, advanced Excel, and MS SQL
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
