Your Opportunity

Our Markham office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Domestic Tax team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, as well as other tax information returns
  • Engage with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis
  • Conduct research on tax issues and prepare memoranda or client letters, including writing reports/letters at the appropriate level for the intended audience

Your Experience and Education

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Completion or near-completion of the CPA designation
  • Enrollment or in-progress enrollment in the In-Depth Tax Course
  • Three to five years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax
  • Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax compliance and planning
  • A strong value on teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
