Your Opportunity

Our Markham office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Domestic Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, as well as other tax information returns
  • Dealing with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals
  • Developing and implementing tax-efficient strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Identifying and documenting tax filing positions, including risk analysis
  • Researching tax issues and preparing memoranda or client letters, including writing reports/letters at the appropriate level for the intended audience

Your Experience and Education

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Completed or are nearing completion of their CPA designation
  • Enrolled or in the process of enrolling in the In-Depth Tax Course
  • Three to five years' experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax
  • An extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax compliance and planning
  • A value on teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
