Job Title: Home Support Worker

Tania Cortes Diaz is seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain physical health
  • Change non-sterile dressings and provide wound care
  • Feed or assist with feeding, ensuring a balanced diet
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in activities and conversations
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring a well-stocked pantry and fridge
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences
Requirements:
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Experience an asset, but not required
  • Permanent position, 30 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
