Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Yamni Sacthyabala Malve, Shyam Sundar Chokkalingam. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain their physical and mental well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, youths, Veterans, Indigenous people, or visible minorities.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
