Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. This includes ensuring that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained, and that maintenance work is executed in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues and develop plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance work is coordinated and that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure that maintenance work is performed in a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a related industrialized maintenance setting with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Alberta or Interprovincial Red Seal certification in the trade of Electrician or Instrumentation is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a variety of settings, including offices, workshops, and outdoor locations. The incumbent will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments. The incumbent will also be required to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.

Education:

A diploma or degree in a related field, such as maintenance management or facilities management, is preferred.

Language:

The official language of this job is English.
